Stinky!
Well, Colton's World has become a bit of a stinkier world. We have now introduced food to the little bugger, which he happily and greedily gulps down, and has turned his little poopies into big smelly poopies. Yes, exactly what you wanted to read right now; all about a 5 1/2 month old's poops. But this is what is happening in our world so I thought I'd let you share in the delight :) Our beloved Vivian and I noticed that Colt is seeming hungrier these days. And since he is of age to introduce foods, I bought some oatmeal cereal and a jar of sweet potatoes. Just did the oatmeal the first couple of days and it was a huge success. The first night we introduced the cereal he was so excited but only took a few bites. Maybe it could be that Ethan rammed the spoon a little too far down his throat a couple of times (the whole family took part in the feeding. We each got a chance to feed him. Julianna and Ethan were thrilled to be included) that turned him away from the feast. Needless to say, he happily devoured the food the next night, and the next. Last night we introduced those sweet potatoes and Julianna couldn't stop laughing at how he kept lurching forward to gobble from the spoon. This morning I got the lucky gift of those sweet potatoes in his very stinky, peanut buttery, poopy diapers (you will never think of peanut butter the same way again, will you :). This morning I smashed up a little of a very ripe banana, mixed that with the cereal and he was licking those choppers. He didn't want to let go of the spoon at one point and he left some little teeth marks in the soft covering of the spoon. I'm going to try and make his food instead of buy it. I made Julianna's but didn't do Ethan's. We'll see how "organized" and "prepared" I can get myself. LOL. Those two words do so frighten me. Well, I hear the sweetness crying and I'm hoping it's not because he has another present for me. Until next time.... happy pooping from Colton's World.
