I finally was able to get video of Colton rolling over.  He's been doing it for the last couple of weeks now, but I never seem to get him rolling over.  I always seem to get him at the point when he's tired and frustrated with me and won't do.  Yeah!  I finally found the right moment.  Way to go, Colton!

Technology

Oh, vey. This sure has been a long process. Today in Colton's World Mommy was very busy trying to find out how to upload videos to the blog. Colton slept forever this morning, from 11:30 - 2:30, so I took the opportunity to play on the computer a bit. Ethan was occupied with Julianna and her friend Olivia, so I had just a little time to myself. I did stop to fix the kids lunch, try Ethan at taking a nap (completely unsuccessful) and play a game of Trouble with Julianna and her friend. And through it all Mommy persevered and figured it out. Yeah, me!!!! The only thing I don't like is that when you initially see the video it is very long and thin on this page. But once you click on the picture it gets small and you can see the video in a small view box. All in all, I feel pretty successful. Once Ethan saw Colton up on the screen he insisted on me taking a video of him. So I posted a video on staceyscofield.blip.tv of him "reading" to Colton and me. Well, off to fix dinner. I want to be like the kids, just play and have someone bring me my food and then play some more. Or in Colton's case, sleep, play, eat, play, sleep, eat... Ah, the life :)

Mommy's take over

Hi, everyone! Seeing as Matt has been too busy to keep up his blog on "Colton's World," it seems Mommy needs to come to the rescue. What I will attempt to do is keep you updated on all the coolness that is Colton- the happenings of his world- while trying to keep my sanity with 3 very active kids. Colton has grown so much since his birth weight of 7 lbs 13 oz. He now weighs about 16 lbs and is about 25 inches long. He is soooo sweet. The most laid back baby I've ever seen. He is hardly fussy- only crying when tired or hungry- and mostly just laughs and smiles at everyone. He has found his voice, cooing and talking to us with the occasional screech to remind us he is there. He can roll over and can sit up for a couple of seconds. I'm hoping to figure out how to add video of him rolling over and sitting up.

Let me move on to the first bit of coolness that is Colton... Colton is getting his first tooth! That's right, the little bugger is getting a little biter :) Right now all that you can see is a tip of the tooth, but you can feel the sharpness with your finger. Pretty cool, huh :) Made me a little sad though. It seems to be the first step towards non-babydom. I mean, right now he relies on me to feed and nurture him. With a tooth comes food, real food, then walking, talking... next thing you know he's a 7 year old prima donna ... No, wait... that's his 7 year old sister Julianna (is she 7or 17? Somedays I'm really not sure). Nonetheless, it is pretty cool to be getting a first tooth, something to celebrate regardless of my tears.
